What the people we have worked closely with say about us

Working with Emachi Eneje (BreezeLab) on the ROISE project has been a transformative experience in my nursing career of 18 years. Emachi’s passion for mental health equity is evident in every aspect of his work bring a unique blend of innovative thinking and practical experience to the project. Emachi’s leadership and guidance for the ROISE project enabled us to have a unique taste of what co-production with our patients should look like therefore initiating the need to change mindsets and cultures. This has allowed us to push boundaries and try new ways of working that we have not seen previously. As an expert by experience Emachi has brought an unmatched level of dedication and expertise to the table which has been inspirational to staff and our patients. It’s been a privilege to work with someone who combines their experience and knowledge with a genuine passion for collaboration. We have been working with BreezeLab on our Health Inequalities project and I must say it has been great working with them, through Emachi. His level of enthusiasm and dedication has showcased unparalleled professionalism. The quality of work delivered by Em has been outstanding. He pays meticulous attention to every detail, his coproduction meetings with service users ensuring that all aspects of the project are executed flawlessly. Communication has never been a problem with Breezelab, and it has been very seamless throughout the project. Em is always available to answer questions, provide updates, and discuss any changes, even when he is on annual leave. I truly appreciate their openness to feedback and suggestions, and his call for us to have bi-monthly catchups to discuss the project's progress. I highly recommend Breezelab for any project. Their exceptional skills, dedication to customer satisfaction, and ability to deliver outstanding results make them a top choice for anyone seeking high-quality project services. I look forward to the opportunity to work with them again in the future.

Eleanor-Rachael Aboagye Mensah, Project Manager, South Yorkshire & Bassetlaw Specialised Commissioning Provider Collaborative Hub

I have known and worked with Emachi for the past two years. Emachi has been involved in various projects on the ward I work which is a female low secure ward. Emachi brings a wealth of knowledge and lived experience to the team and has a kind and caring nature when speaking with the female patients that puts them at ease. The patients have reported that working with Emachi is inspirational and gives them hope for their own futures. Even though Emachi is male the patients feel they can relate to him and have opened up about their own experiences in services and have forged strong alliances with him, this is testament to how professional yet compassionate Emachi is. I have found Emachi to be responsive to any questions I have asked, and Emachi is always approachable and efficient in his approach to work, as well as being bright and warm with any interactions. Emachi is an absolute pleasure to work alongside and his experience has been invaluable when working on any projects within the provider collaborative. Emachi is an asset to any team and I feel privileged to have worked alongside him.

Kayli Burgin, Spencer Ward Manager, Cygnet Sheffield

Emachi also known to me as Em, is a soft spoken and approachable individual whom I have worked with for approx. 3.5yrs from end of 2020 to date. Em has always had a passion to see positive change particularly around addressing inequalities in health and was a key part of the inequalities service evaluation project we undertook. He is a well experienced researcher who will not hesitate to share his knowledge, wealth of experience and insight. Em developed useful tools we used in the project to gather data both qualitative and quantitative, demonstrating his leadership and innovative qualities. His strengths among others lie in his ability to listen actively, being curious, being respectful, acknowledging his limitations, willingness to share experiences with others, taking people on board with his vision and sharing ownership of it, ability to problem solve and deliver, and above all being kind and genuine. Em has amazing planning and motivational skills and for us to deliver the inequalities service evaluation, it was mainly because Em was extremely committed and was able to provide structure, methodology and mentorship to those involved. Even though there were multiple challenges we faced such as covid, changing attitudes and cultures, Em was always there to support and encourage us. Em is not only an asset to any team but also a champion for change, an advocate for progress, an example of dedication and a unique individual who inspires others through his own personal trials and triumphs.

Shingi Kapfunde, MPFT Forensic directorate Equality Lead.

As part of the organisation I work for I have been involved in a steering group which was coordinated and led by Breezelab , and which during its inception has opened my eyes to how work that has been co-produced with individuals at the centre of what we say and do is quite powerful. Emachi have got the ability of engaging individuals that ensures that not only are they listened to, but to recognise their strengths and abilities where other professionals might not be able to do this. I can highly recommend Breezelab as a company that takes their responsibilities seriously and works diligently to make assurances that all aspects of the assignment is covered.

Judith Brown, Interim Matron, Forest Lodge, Sheffield Health & Social Care

He is approachable and pays attention to detail. Emachi does not shy away from hard work and still finds the time to meet, offer frequent updates and answer any queries that I may have. Thank you Emachi it is a pleasure working with you.

Carol Spalding, Service Manager, Birmingham Healthy Minds, BSMHFT

Working with Emachi on the Adult Secure Health Inequalities project has been very inspirational and transformational. I have observed his personal approach and engaging attributes. He has enabled service users to feel comfortable in sharing their mental health journeys and experiences. He has done this by creating psychologically safe spaces. Em has also opened opportunities for secure mental health services to utilise patient feedback and experience to promote high quality care and treatment provision.

Daneele Graham, Involvement Coordinator, South Yorkshire & Bassetlaw Specialised Commissioning Provider Collaborative Hub

Emachi has been working as an Expert by Experience for a few years now and I have had regular contact with him. Emachi is a very polite and approachable person who works extremely hard and puts everything into his work. Emachi is very passionate about his work, and this is clear in the output. Although Emachi does not work for our team full time he remains to be an important colleague in our department and makes time to commute to team development days, face to face meetings and visits the services to meet with service users to carry out his important work.
