If you are serious about your patients going further in their recovery journeys & your service being able to deliver higher levels of recovery as an outcome, your starting point is to understand how well currently you are delivering recovery as an outcome. From there, you will have a better sense of the journey ahead. Recovery in Your Service (RIYS) is design to help you with this.
Recovery in Your Service (RIYS) is a methodology that has been designed to engage people using your service about their recovery, where they are at with their recovery, where they would like to get to, and finally how well they feel their recovery is supported - what is good, what could be better, what is missing.
RIYS is delivered in three stages. First, the people using your service are surveyed on their personal recovery - collecting as many responses as possible to get the broad picture. Second, following the survey, in-depth interviews are conducted with a sample of the people using your services. The interview explores more deeply a range of things highlighted in the survey. Third, a selection of people using your service & staff working at several levels & different roles are engaged on a range of areas relating to the 'recovery orientation' of your service.
We have developed the survey that goes to the heart of the question of recovery in your service. We have developed a semi-structure interview schedule that will explore meaningful the experience of recovery in your service. We have the experience of mental health service to engage your professionals on what the do to generate recovery as an outcome. We have the experties in the subject of recovery to be able to make sense of all of this for you.
Following these three steps, an analysis is done on the gathered data. The analysis reported in a way that is meaningful to your organisation's understanding of delivering recovery. The analysis also comes with recommendations that are clear & useable by your organisation & usable to your service. From this, your service will understand better how it is currently doing & will be better able to consider the steps it needs to take to deliver higher levels of recovery as an outcome. These insights will form a foundation & give clear direction to your efforts going forward.
